AS I left my house in Halmer Gate, Spalding, on my bike recently, I was waved down by the police who asked me why I was riding on the path.
They had failed to notice the path I was on is divided for pedestrian and cycle use.
After pointing this out to the officer, he told me that “I should know better and to get on my way”.
I felt unhappy with the attitude of the police officer concerned.
Perhaps cyclists are an easier target than ‘real criminals?’
