I would like to thank all those people who sponsored me, for the Royal British Legion, on my recent cycle ride along the D-Day Beaches and War Cemeteries. I am well on the way to £1,000.
When I planned this trip I had not realised that the legion was celebrating the 90th anniversary of its formation this year. The legion exists to help all members of the armed forces both past and present, so from WWI to Afghanistan it has been there for those in need.
This year it is trying to raise £90million to pay for a Battle Back Centre which will be a national centre for excellence for activity based rehabilitation.
The network of branches and supporters are committed to raising £50million for this project.
If you would like to make a donation you can do so direct to the Royal British Legion or through my sponsor site justgiving.com and in the box “sponsor a friend” type Paul Winn. All the sponsor money goes direct to the legion.
