Have your say

St Barnabas Hospice has been administering excellent palliative care for over 30 years throughout Lincolnshire, funding the in-patient unit at Nettleham Road, Lincoln; also the many Hospice at Home nurses for people who wish to spend their final days at home; and recently opening a six-bed in-patient unit in Grantham hospital, saving families and friends a 60-mile round journey to our in bed unit in Lincoln.

The latest unit is at the forefront of latest thinking and research which shows how the patient experience can be transformed by the design of the environment in which they are cared. We are really proud of the new unit and opportunities it creates for us to further improve pallative care in Lincolnshire.

Spalding has a day hospice situated in Woolram Wygate, Spalding.

This offers patients day therapies and craft workshops plus many more activities. We have our own Hospice at Home team of nurses which supports Spalding and surrounding areas. Every penny we make at the St Barnabas Hospice shop in New Road, Spalding, goes to help local people.

We are appealing, as we are desperate, for more volunteers to enable our shop to be open between 10am-3.45pm, Monday to Saturday. If you can help, just giving a few hours a week could make a lot of difference to us. Please ring the shop on 01775 713159 and ask to speak to me.
