HOLBEACH LIBRARY: Don’t miss this golden opportunity

Following the recent decision by Lincolnshire County Council to hand the running of Holbeach Library over to the Academy may I suggest the following:

Holbeach library’s present premises are too small to allow it to develop so why not move it to the youth club building, which has a large rear car park? This would allow for clubs, toilets, maybe a coffee outlet and the library to expand. Thus following the example of Long Sutton Library.

The police station could move to the now empty library building thus enhancing the town’s appearance.

This suggestion has found favour with some Holbeach councillors and Alan Hardwick, the police commissioner.

It would be a pity if a golden opportunity to develop the library is missed.
