I’m an atheist, so have little regard for God-speak nor any religious organisation that makes financial appeal for self-preservation rather than charity.
Agape Care is an exception.
While this is a religious organisation, I see nothing but the desire to feed the less fortunate. It deserves our full support.
Maybe others of religious conviction might wish to re-evaluate the meaning of their belief.
By all means ensure your preservation but use reserves your Church already has; for example, I believe the Church of England has cash deposits of more than two billion pounds.
Asking for public donations for a new roof, bell or the renovation of an unused chapel when such funds could be supplied by their church and at the expense of those truly in need, is reprehensible.
There’s something fundamentally wrong with religious leadership in this country.
