As the people of Spalding are still left awaiting details of a proposal on the future of Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field and the Holland Market site, it still remains our opinion that one vital detail remains in need of an immediate resolve.
That detail being that the field is managed as a charity and governed by its Trust’s agreement signed in 1952. It is our opinion that the Trust agreement stipulates that the field is for the use of the inhabitants of Spalding in perpetuity .
To us, this means that the people of Spalding should have had and still should have unrestricted access. When will we be allowed access to our field?
