ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR: What has happened to Spalding?

Have your say

At 5pm on Tuesday I walked along Station Street, Spalding, only to be met by some male obviously feeling it was his right to urinate up against the wall in fulll view of everybody.

When I said something to him the look I got was as if I was the scum.

What gives some people the right to use our streets as a public toilet and why do they feel the need to spit wherever and whenever they want?

A lot of businesses in town display signs, which were supplied to my office by the police support officer, stating that it is an offence to urinate in public and there is also a fine of £80. Unfortunately there has to be police around to enforce this.

That person I saw obviously had no concerns or worries about being caught!

What has happened to Spalding? Why have we turned into a town where it appears acceptable to hang around in groups drinking in the town and in Victoria Street car park, a town where it appears acceptable to urinate wherever the fancy takes and a town where the pavements are covered in spit?

As I talk to people that have lived in the area for a long time they all seem to say the same thing, that Spalding has not changed for the better and they only come into town when they really have to.
