I have just seen an article on page three of the Lincolnshire Free Press titled “Rider hurt after horse bolts away”.
My wife was the rider and I just wanted to thank a few people, following the incident.
Having recently moved from an estate in Cranwell, to Fengate Road, we were both overwhelmed by the number of people who stopped to help, who assisted me in getting the horse home and also called in to enquire after my wife, with cards and flowers.
I am glad to say that she escaped with bad bruising but nothing broken.
Whoever says we have lost community spirit is very wrong and I am very grateful it is alive and well!
We experienced something wonderful that day that we never had living on an estate, ie people offering to help.
The ambulance and air ambulance teams were excellent and very professional.
As a worried husband, they kept me fully informed.
The A&E team at Boston Pilgrim were also brilliant, explaining the situation every step of the way.
So I do need to say a very big thank you to everyone that helped us both last Thursday, it was very much appreciated by both of us.
