Does anyone remember Clarke’s Music Services? This picture of one of their carrier bags from the 1960s might just jog your memory.

Nick Pitts, who sent this in said: “Clarke’s was the first stop to buy the latest single or album and also sold record players, tape recorders and sheet music.

“Another shop in the town that sold records was The Milroy Music Box in Hall Place.”

Clarke’s was situated on Broad Street, next to Elderkin’s.
