YOUR LETTERS: In praise of hospital gala

On Saturday, June 6, I attended my first civic duty as vice-chairman of South Holland District Council at the Johnson Community Hospital, Pinchbeck Road, Spalding.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Johnson Hospital League of Friends for the kindness shown to myself and my wife Christine during our visit.

The event was very well attended and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I have to give a special commendation to the organisers and stallholders who made this event the success it was and I hope they made lots of money for their charity.

Last, but by no means least, a mention for the music supplied by The Ukulele Orchestra, which put a smile on everyone’s face. Well done to the Johnson Hospital League of Friends for a job well done.
