YOUR LETTERS: Does someone have to die crossing the A17?

I agree with Mrs Hayes (A17 crossing can’t come soon enough, Lincolnshire Free Press, December 1), we do need a crossing at the Boston Road roundabout.

As a pensioner needing to get to the town’s facilities, walking is my only option. The A17 is busier and more dangerous, seeing lots of incidents in my time concerning vehicles and speed.

The alternative of Cherry Tree Lane is neither adequate nor convenient, more so in winter months.

Are they waiting for a death?
