The Katharine of Aragon Festival at Peterborough Cathedral takes place from Thursday to Sunday.

There’s a chance to travel back in time this weekend and find out what like was like for the Tudors.

Help youngsters to engage with history at family-friendly activities at Peterborough Museum on Saturday and Sunday (10am to 4pm, entry £12 for families).

It’s worth the journey as Peterborough holds the Katharine of Aragon Festival starting on Friday (10am) with a procession in period costume and period musicians from the museum to the cathedral – where Katharine was buried in 1536. On Friday night TV historian Dr Jonathan Foyle gives an illustrated talk at the cathedral about The Forgotten origins of the Tudor rose, plus there are Tudor themed guided tours.
