HOLBEACH model Sarah Ashworth is set to take part in more international beauty competitions after representing England in Miss Globe International in Turkey at the end of December.
Patriotic Sarah (19) created her own dress out of England flags for the national round of the competition and also participated in rounds wearing swim wear and evening dress.
She said: “Unfortunately I didn’t win but they want me back again this year.
“I thought it was such a good experience because I have learned a lot from it.
“It gave me a boost of confidence.
“I have learned to walk properly – like a model – because there was a choreographer who was teaching us how to walk. I feel more confident and more ready for competition.
“The agent who put me forward now wants me to do more competitions abroad.”
Sarah was originally encouraged to enter the competition by the Kerri Parker Academy as Kerri herself is a model.
Last year Sarah tasted success by winning the Miss Popularity section of Miss Spalding and the Fens, a beauty contest that took place at Spalding nightclub Loaded.
She also won our Look of 2009 competition.
Sarah’s boyfriend Tom Chenery (23) is currently studying in Sheffield for a teaching qualification. Sarah also works in the city for Next and Sports Direct but the couple still maintain a base in Holbeach.
