A MAN hanged himself with a multi-coloured scarf on the stairs of his Spalding home after his wife left him, an inquest heard.
Dariusz Przeorski (47) had been drinking before he took his own life and positioned a montage of photographs in his line of sight at the foot of the stairs.
His body was discovered on March 24 by friend and workmate Andrzej Gorak, who went to his McArthur Court address because he was worried Mr Przeorski would lose his job with transport firm Fowler Welch if he continued failing to turn up at work.
Mr Gorak looked through patio doors, saw his friend’s body and called police.
Sgt Gareth Boxall told the inquest he recovered a suicide note running to two pages of A4.
The dead man’s wife, Grzazyma Przeorska, said she moved out of the family home on February 28 because her husband had been abusing alcohol.
She did not see him alive again.
Coroner Maureen Taylor recorded a verdict of suicide at Friday’s hearing in Spalding.
