SUMMER family blockbusters will be shown in 3D at the South Holland Centre, as the Spalding venue gets set to upgrade its facilities.
The cinema hopes to show titles such as Harry Potter, Cars 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2 in 3D during the school break.
Contractors this week put new air conditioning in the technician’s box, which is needed before the new screen technology is installed.
Manager Sally Harrison said: “We are using the top-notch Xpand 3D system, which has really good glasses. These are more substantial and can be worn over spectacles if needed.
“I think people will be amazed at the quality of the 3D image when they come along to their first film here in Spalding in July and August.”
