The Tulip Radio Tulip Queen will be announced on Friday, and she will go on to switch on Spalding’s Christmas lights that evening.
Two more ladies have applied to become South Holland’s new ambassador.
Steph Morley (21) works in the Card Factory in Spalding and lives with her partner in Spalding.
Steph says: “I am a good listener and am confident. I enjoy socialising with other people and going for drives in my car.”
Steph would love to become Tulip Queen. She said: “I would make a good Tulip Queen as I know Spalding really well and I would like to represent South Holland.”
Joy Taylor (40) enjoys photography and make up, as well as going on day trips and socialising.
She said: “I am good at talking to people and I like to think if people have a problem I can give them good advice.
“I enjoy the events that go on in Spalding and I try to join in as much as I can.”
Joy, who lives with her boyfriend and two cats, thinks her knowledge of previous queens might help her to be a good Tulip Queen. She said: “I have been pictured with previous queens doing their duties.
“I am good with people and I think becoming Tulip Queen would be something different.”
