It calls itself ‘one of the best free shows in Lincolnshire’ and it’s taking place on Sunday (11am to 5pm).

It’s Whaplode Drove Village & Country Fair at the Elizabethan Centre with its major attraction, The World Jelly Throwing Championships.

It is hoped last year’s winners will be present to defend their titles.

The day promises to be a great day out from its opening by The Peterborough Highland Pipe Band through a day filled with vintage and classic vehicle displays, miniature steam engines and rides, an extensive craft show, locally grown produce show, baking competition, fun dog show and agility demonstration plus games, funfair rides, rare sheep and goats, ferret racing, plus food and drink.

Entry and parking is free.
