Weston St Mary’s Church has been transformed into a magical place with a lot of love from people in the community.
The church is filled with around 24 Christmas trees decorated by people in the village for its festival, which started on Saturday and will be held next weekend and at Christmas.
Vicar of St Mary’s the Rev Mike Chesher said: “We had a Christmas tree festival last year. We put the nativity under the tree and when the lights were switched off for the carol service it looked magical really. We had 150 plus and the Christmas trees made it. It raises money and brings people in and celebrates that beautiful church because it’s in the top five per cent in the country for architecture.”
