St Bartholomew’s Primary School at West Pinchbeck celebrated Child Safety Week by inviting visitors into school.

Class teacher Rachel Cannon said visitors included Gist, the RNLI and local PCSOs.

Children learn about road safety, stranger danger, e-safety and beach and water safety.

Rachel said: “Gist brought in a lorry which allowed the children to experience the actual size of these vehicles. The children learn about safe stopping distances and what to do to ensure they are seen by lorry drivers on the road. The children also went inside the cab and beeped the horn, which they thought was fantastic!

“This was a very interesting day which allowed the children to understand more about how to stay safe when out and about. Thank you to all of the visitors who came into school.”
