Youngsters at St Bartholomew’s Primary School at West Pinchbeck went from red to blue on Monday.
It wasn’t their mood they altered, but the normally red school uniform. The children wore blue for the day in support of Type 1 diabetes research, each child paying £1 to wear blue and the money going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The charity was supported because one of the young pupils at the school, Faith Robinson, has Type 1 diabetes. Her mum Gemma said: “Every year Faith’s school supports her condition. All the children received badges and balloons representing JDRF and a leaflet explaining the symptoms: extreme thirst, tiredness, weight loss, frequent urination and blurred vision.” Photo: SG150615-105TW
