Restorative Justice enables victims of crime to explain directly how the offenders behaviour has affected them and to seek an explanation from the offender about what they did and why.
Suzanne McLardy, Restorative Justice Service development manager, said, “Our aim is to enable victims to access this service at all stages of the Criminal Justice System at a time that is right for them.”
Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick said: “It is a really important and valuable process for victims. I have seen it in action and I am a great supporter of this as an option for victims to consider.”
