Ayscoughfee Hall invited children of all ages to participate in a wartime activities day on Sunday.
Hosted by historical food preperation company, Four and Twenty Blackbirds, the event gave children a taste of what living in Britain was like during the conflict.
Kids were shown how to create their own cardboard gas masks, how to effectively manage a small supply of rations and got to pack a suitcase for evacuation.
Attendees were also treated to a number of wartime meals that people would have made at the time including spam sandwich and chocolate pudding with sago.
Julia Knight, museum officer at Ayscoughfee said: “The event went well, with all participants enjoying themselves.”
Ayscoughfee’s next event will take place today, the museum will host a children’s craft workshop at a cost of £2.50 per child.
