Voting to re-open after area winners chosen in food and drink awards

The regional winners have been decided in the East Midlands Food and Drink Awards.

Now the winners in the 12 Wash and Fens categories are up against the champs in other areas to decide the overall East Midlands winners.

Local winners are: Best Customer Service – Indus, Spalding; Best Community Pub – The Bull Inn, Fleet Hargate; Best Dining Pub – The Wheatsheaf, Hubbert’s Bridge; Best Family-Friendly Venue – Springfield Play barn, Spalding; Best Fish and Chips – Linfords, Stanground, Peterborough; Best Hotel Meal – Supreme Hotel, Bicker Bar; Best Indian Restaurant – Indus, Spalding; Best Newcomer – Ye Olde Red Lion, Bicker; Best Oriental – Jimmy’s World, Peterborough; Best Regional Product – Jackson’s Butchers, Holbeach; Best Sunday Lunch – The Golden Lion, Moulton Seas End; Beast Tea Room – Concreation Garden Centre, Swineshead.

Our finalists, plus those from Lindsey and Melton/Rutland before a celebration awards ceremony and black tie dinner at the Greetham Valley Hotel in Grantham on Sunday, November 17.

Voting recommences on Monday, October 7 and closes at midnight on Sunday, November 3.
