VOTERS in South Holland are being urged to ensure they remain eligible to vote by returning registration forms.

Households will receive the forms between August 19 and 30 and are urged to return them soon.

South Holland Returning Officer Terry Huggins said: “Some may not realise legally they have to register every year so it is important that you respond to the registration form so you’re able to take part in any elections in 2012.”

If no changes need to be made to the form, then details can be confirmed by phone, internet or text message, as well as signing and returning the form.

However, if any information needs to be changed or names need to be deleted or added then the form has to be completed in order to be registered.

If a household has not received a form by September 1 they should contact the electoral services at elections@sholland.gov.uk or on 01775 761161.
