A new group is determined to keep the feel-good factor going in Holbeach that started when a £2.6 million arts project was launched in the town.

Volunteers from Holbeach Community Action Group joined forces with Holbeach In Bloom members for a litter pick in an area of the town between Park Road and the Chequers Hotel on High Street.

Dave Hudson from the action group said: “We are social media-based group that was established in the wake of the Transported arts project launch.

“Our purpose is to maintain the positive community feeling around the town, engage people and spread the message of pride in Holbeach.”

Volunteers filled ten bags of rubbish and collected items such as buckets, carpets, a wheelbarrow and a TV, with more litter picks planned over the coming weeks. (Photo supplied).
