A WELL-used village hall has received a funding boost thanks to Lincolnshire Co-op.

Mandy Tolliday, treasurer of Lutton Village Hall, applied to the Co-op Community Account and was allocated £500.

The money donated will go towards essential drainage works at the hall.

Mandy said: “It’s not very glamourous but the work needs doing urgently. We’ve a collapsed drain in the car park.

“This grant will cover about half of the cost, so we’re fundraising for the rest.”

The committee has started a 100 Club, where 100 people pay £1 a month and go into a monthly draw to win cash prizes.

The hall is the only meeting place in Lutton and is used by a number of groups including Mothers’ Union and the Friendship Club.
