Pillaging was strictly prohibited when the Vikings came to a Spalding school.

Year four youngsters at Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall School hammered home the lessons they had been learning about the early British settlers by giving an assembly to other students, staff and parents.

It followed on from sessions where the children dressed as Vikings and learned about their life.

They even acted out a Vikingbattle.

Headteacher Clare Ogden said: “They had a wonderful day learning about Vikings and great fun was had by all.”
