Lincolnshire Free Press mascot Spike had a brush with the long arm of the law ahead of yesterday’s Pumpkin Festival in Spalding.
Town sergeant Stuart Hurst liked the look of his fur coat on the crisp autumn afternoon.
Spike was out about town on Friday afternoon promoting next week’s new look Free Press.
The Free Press mascot also had his eye on a part of the police uniform, but Sgt Hurst managed to hold on to his helmet for the picture before heading off to brief PCSOs preparing for the influx of visitors.
