Members of the Spalding Ukulele Club celebrated the sixth anniversary of their first meeting with a night of music at Broad Street Methodist Church in Spalding.
The celebratory evening included a Ukelele’s Got Talent style event, with many of the club also performing solos on their instruments.
Bobbie Thorpe, one of the original members of the club who was there on the first-ever meet, said: “I went along and there were a few ukuleles for us to get to grips with and we all just had a go ”
The club now has many members whose ages range from ten to over 80 and put on around 50-60 concerts a year.
Bobbie said: “It was a fantastic night – I would like to thank everyone who comes along and supports us.
“Thanks also go to Steph Churchill, our musical director. and Jo and John Baguley who work so hard for the club.”
