A TOWN centre road was closed when emergency services were called to two separate incidents.
Police blocked off Spalding’s Station Street after a member of the public reported loose tiles on the roof of a vacant building, which they feared could fall and injure someone, at about 4.45pm on Thursday.
Firefighters climbed to the roof and removed the tiles and made it safe.
At the same time, but in a totally unrelated incident, a passer-by fell, banged his head and had a fit on the opposite side of the road.
Firefighters and police officers helped to administer first aid and an ambulance was called, but the man recovered and refused further treatment.
