A paramedic and patient were injured after an ambulance collided with a tractor in Moulton Seas End and ended up in a ditch.

The accident happened in Roman Bank, near the A17 Washway Road, just before noon yesterday (Wednesday).

It is understood the paramedic and patient suffered minor injuries and were treated on the scene by the crew of a second ambulance.

Police stayed at the scene and reported when the ambulance had been recovered from the ditch.

BT attended to deal with a damaged pole in front of the ambulance.

Names of the injured have not been released, but witnesses are asked to call police on 101.

This is the second incident in recent weeks where an ambulance has been involved in an accident and left the road.

On Thursday, August 29, an ambulance thought to be travelling to Johnson Community Hospital in Pinchbeck, crashed into a garden outside a house in Pinchbeck Road at 5am.

Two paramedics inside the ambulance were uninjured and no patients were on board, but police started an investigation into the crash.

EMAS have been unable to comment while the investigation is ongoing.
