THREE colleagues from Lincolnshire Co-operative’s Spalding travel branch raised more than £1,000 for Help for Heroes by taking on a 26-mile hike.

Rachel Clifton (39), from Spalding, Cheryl Sullivan (22), from West Pinchbeck, and Roxanne Murfitt (20), from Sutton Bridge, did the Avebury to Stonehenge walk to raise cash for Lincolnshire Co-operative’s Charity of the Year.

Roxanne said: “It was very hot, so this made it a lot harder than we had been able to train for and it was continuous steep hills.

“Although it was rather gruelling, it was worth every mile as Help for Heroes is such a fantastic cause. We’d like to thank customers for their support.”
