Three people hurt in A17 collision

UPDATE TUESDAY 3PM: A man, woman and child have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A17 at Holbeach this morning.

All three were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn, with as yet unknown injuries after the crash which happened near the Battlefields Lane junction at about 11am.

A Renault Clio driven by the woman, in which the man and small child were passengers, collided with the lorry and emergency services were called to the scene.

Shortly after the crash, a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “A female driver, male passenger and small child were all taken to hospital in King’s Lynn to be checked over.

“But fortunately it does not like their injuries are serious.”

TUESDAY NOON: Three people have been injured after a car and a lorry collided on the A17 at Holbeach today.

The injured people were in a Renault Clio which was in collision with the lorry at about 11am and they currently being treated by paramedics.

Unconfirmed reports said that an air ambulance was called to the scene but there are no details as yet on how serious the injuries are.
