UPDATE WEDNESDAY 11AM: Engineers from BT are working to restore telephone lines to Pinchbeck Engine Museum today after a telegraph pole was brought down by a vehicle.

The accident happened on West Marsh Road just after 2.10pm and the road was closed to high-sided vehicles in both directions.

A BT spokesman said: “We went out yesterday afternoon to make the area safe as two telegraph lines had come off the pole which serve the museum.

“We are trying to get them re-connected as soon as we can.”

TUESDAY 6.15pm: Drivers are facing rush hour headaches in Pinchbeck after a vehicle hit a telegraph pole and brought it down earlier today.

The B1180 West Marsh Road is closed to high-sided vehicles, in both directions, between the A151 Holbeach Road and A16 junction after the accident just after 2.10pm.

BT engineers are at the scene to carry out repairs.
