Pedestrian in hospital after collision with cyclist in Spalding

UPDATE MONDAY 1PM: A 17-year-old cyclist is facing a charge of riding on a pavement after knocking down a pedestrian in Spalding earlier today.

Police in Spalding are putting together a file for the Crown Prosecution Service to decide whether the cyclist, who can’t be named for legal reasons, should face charges in connection with the accident in Abbey Passage at about 9.25am.

MONDAY 11AM: A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with as yet unknown injuries after colliding with a cyclist in Spalding.

It happened in Abbey Passage at 9.25am when the pedestrian was hit by a bicycle.

Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before they were taken to hospital as a precaution.
