Two men had to be cut free by firemen after the car they were in went off the road and ended up in a ditch near Bourne.

A black Honda CRV containing five people all from Bourne came off the road in Kirkby Underwood at about 8.20pm last Tuesday and although three of the passengers managed to get out of the car, the two others had to be released by firemen from Bourne and Billingborough.

They had to use cutting gear to take the doors and roof off the car where the two men were trapped inside.

Four men were taken to Peterborough City Hospital with a variety of injuries, none of them life-threatening, and a woman was treated at the scene.
