Motorcyclist hurt in Long Sutton road crash

UPDATE THURSDAY 11.30AM: There were further headaches for drivers in Long Sutton after a three-vehicle crash on one of the town’s busiest roads.

The vehicles, including a Skoda Felicia and a Ford Mondeo, collided on Bridge Road, near its junction with Wisbech Road and Hospital Drove, at about 1.30pm on Wednesday.

It is unclear at the moment whether there were any injuries.

THURSDAY 11.15AM: A man was hurt after his motorbike collided with a car in Long Sutton on Wednesday.

The accident happened on Wisbech Road where the man’s black Yamaha bike hit a Ford Transit van at about 12.20pm.

Traffic built up in both directions between the junction of Markillie Lane and Winter’s Lane but it is thought the bike rider only suffered bruising.

Meanwhile, a separate accident in Wyberton between a Vauxhall Zafira and a Peugeot 206 at about 1.15pm caused problems for drivers using London Road at its junction with Saundergate Lane.

There were no reports of any injuries.
