A 23-year-old man is in hospital with back and neck injuries after a car and HGV crashed on the A17 near Bicker.

The victim was a passenger in a red Nissan Micra that collided with a lorry at Bicker Bar Roundabout just before 6am today.

The injured man was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, for further treatment, while a 40-year-old man who was driving the Nissan was not seriously injured and the HGV driver was unhurt.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said at the time of the crash, the car was heading towards Sleaford and the HGV was travelling towards Boston.

“It was foggy at the time of the collision and we are appealing for witnesses who saw either vehicle before or at the time of the accident.”

Anyone with information should call PC Perring on 101, stating incident 66 of March 29.
