Cowbit man killed in crash

Police have released the name of a driver who died in a crash in Cambridgeshire on Tuesday.

David Alexander Adams (55), of Orchard Way, Cowbit, was driving a blue Peugeot 206 which was in collision with a silver Ford Mondeo close to the A10 junction of the A1123 Newmarket Road near Stretham.

The 33-year-old driver of the Mondeo is from the Ely area. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to the accident, which happened at about 5.35pm. The investigating officer is Sgt Nigel Jennings at the roads policing unit on 0345 456 4564.
