A car has swerved off the road and into the front of a house in Spalding.

The crash happened this morning (Sunday) at about 9.42am on Winsover Road, Spalding, according to Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service which sent crews to evacuate the building and make the car safe.

According to reports on Facebook page Spotted: Spalding the car crashed into a house close to the railway crossing next to a hairdressers.

Photos posted on the site show a silver Renault Clio embedded in the front window.

One witness commented: “The whole of the front of the car was in the house front wall up to the windscreen. Hope all are ok.”

It is not know if there were any injuries but firefighters and police left the incident with a building inspector from the district council to make sure the property was structurally safe.
