MEMBERS of Spalding Networking are trying to fill what they see as a “huge gap” in the market for affordable, local training.
Christine Grocock, co-director of Spalding-based Drive By Websites, recognised there was a lack of affordable training locally after taking part in an exercise for this newspaper. Christine and two other members of Spalding Networking created a ‘Dragons’ Den’-type scenario to offer mentoring and advice to budding entrepreneur Daniel Richardson.
Christine says: “Since then, Sandy Nowell and I from Spalding Networking have realised there is a huge gap in the market for affordable, local training and we will be holding training courses in the very near future to help businesses succeed in these very trying and difficult economic times.”
The first session will look at making the most of social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, and will take place during the first two weeks of March, with further training events in April and May.
