A TRACTOR working day will help to boost the coffers of local charities.

Spalding Young Farmers are holding the event at Weston on Sunday.

Now in its fourth year, the day gives owners the chance to go along and play with their tractors and is expected to attract a large number of entrants.

Last year around 30 tractors of all ages took to the fields, ploughing and cultivating.

Machines on show this year will range from wartime models through to classic tractors of the 1970s. Tractor dealerships will also be exhibiting some of the latest machinery.

Proceeds from the event will support the local and farming community.

The club welcomes new members and has a full programme planned for the coming season.

A new members’ evening will be held at the Fun Farm, Weston on Wednesday, October 12, from 7.30pm. Call 07985 476263 for more information.
