YOUNGSTERS at Gosberton House School will be able to advise the friendly taxi drivers who take them to school each day what to keep in the car for emergencies.
It was the subject up for discussion at assembly on the day when Royal Taxis manager Kelly Allen and her assistant Natalie Coats went into the school to present a cheque for £350.
The money had been collected by the 62 taxi drivers, office staff and other people who attended their Christmas meal. Natalie says as the evening went on everyone became more generous with their contributions to the pot.
The Spalding taxi firm raises money each year for various schools and this year chose to support Gosberton House School.
Natalie says: “We like to do it because the schools are really good and it gives them a bit extra for whatever they need during the year. Quite a lot of the children there travel with us from different areas and the drivers get to build a good relationship with the children. Some of them have been driving the children for quite a few years.”
