BICKER Methodist Church harvest festival services are on Sunday October. Elaine Robinson will take the 10.30am service and Michael Jessop will take the 6pm service. Everyone is welcome.

THE organisers of the country and comedy show in September raised £200 for the village hall.
BOOKINGS are being taken for the St Peter and St Paul’s Church harvest lunch on October 14, following the 11am service. Tickets are £8.50 and the menu is smoked salmon pate or pea soup, slow roasted shoulder of pork with sage and onion stuffing or vegetarian option, with vegetables, raspberry pavlova or trifle, lemon tart or apple crumble, tea or coffee. If anyone wishing to go to the lunch has a special dietary requirement, this can be catered for. Glasses and corkscrews are provided but please bring own wine or soft drinks. ST Matthew’s Church autumn bazaar is on Saturday, October 20, 10am-noon. There will be various stalls, refreshments and a large raffle.
THANKS to all who organised, helped or supported the ladies night held recently in the Churchroom, when £110 was raised for the hall’s refurbishment.
PLEASE note that there is no 11am service this Sunday at St John the Baptist Church, but the harvest festival will be held at 6.30pm. Any donations of produce will be gratefully received and may be taken to the church either on Saturday between 11am and 4pm or before the service on Sunday evening.
HARVEST supper will be held in the Churchroom next Monday at 7pm. A few tickets are still available from Mavis Stancer on 01406 330544. Home made food will be served, with all donated produce being auctioned afterwards. This annual event is always a lovely, friendly occasion enjoyed by all. Please remember to bring crockery, cutlery and wine glass.
