CHILDREN will be able to get involved in a ‘first of its kind’ theatre and dance festival coming to Spalding this summer as part of the regional Cultural Olympiad.
The Jump In festival features exciting, international touring artists with work specially created for children and their families.
Canadian company Bunk Puppets will be kicking off the festival at the South Holland Centre, Spalding, on Friday, May 18 at 6pm with Swamp Juice, a mix of fiendishly clever shadow puppetry with a 3D finale, suitable for age 6 and above.
On June 8, Crying Out Loud presents Kindur by TPO Company and will be performing an interactive show following the Kindur (Icelandic for sheep) on their adventures using gorgeous digital imagery, suitable for families with children aged five to eight.
Sally Harrison, manager at the South Holland Centre, said: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome these highly acclaimed, internationally recognised theatre and dance companies.”
Tickets for both of these exciting family shows are available from www.southhollandcentre.co.uk or call the box office on 01775 764777.
