Have your say

Your donations to our Give a Gift 2014 appeal are now being wrapped for hundreds of children in our area.

We have been overwhelmed by your kind donations of toys for children who probably will not receive anything on Christmas Day this year due to financial or social reasons, and the joint campaign by The Lincolnshire Free Press, We’ll Let Your House, Beales, Sainsbury’s and South Holland District Council has seen hundreds of toys filling our offices to the brim.

However, there is still time for you to donate more toys to the appeal.

All you need to do is to pick up an extra toy while out and about Christmas shopping and take it along to one of the drop points. Alternatively, you could donate a second-hand toy, as long as it is in a good state of repair.

We are also urging those who are in need of some help with toys this Christmas to get in touch.

Harry Drury, director at We’ll Let Your House, said: “Please come forward to either ask for a little help with toys for their children this year or if you know anyone who may be struggling.

“We really do want to do our bit to help children at this time of the year. We have already had several people asking for support and want to make sure we reach as many people as possible.”
