Tulip Radio talks about the latest production from SADOS, Bad Girls: The Musical.
This somewhat risqué cutting edge production saw SADOS pushing the boundaries to bring to the local arts scene a finely crafted production, directed by Paul Coleman, which challenged and entertained audiences. All the cast should be congratulated on their fine performances.
SADOS has a proud tradition of presenting musical plays in Spalding since 1866 – it is the oldest amateur dramatic society in England – and was formed to produce plays, as well as the occasional musical number, as shown by old accounts that show charges of five pounds and five shillings for an orchestra.
SADOS is celebrating playwright Alan Ayckbourn’s 75th year with a production of his classic Season’s Greetings from November 19-22. Auditions will be held at 2pm on Sunday, June 8 at The Shed, Monks House Lane.
While remaining committed to its long history and traditions, SADOS is constantly looking for fresh ideas and new approaches – as well as fresh talent! Whether you are interested in acting, singing, dancing, or helping backstage, SADOS would love to hear from you. Visit sados.co.uk to learn more about this amazing group of people.
