It wasn’t just homes across South Holland where Mothering Sunday was celebrated at the weekend – schools and organisations joined in too.

It really was a day of fun at Surfleet Primary School on Friday, with mums coming into the school and pupils enjoying mother’s day activities with them as well as taking part in Red Nose Day.

On Saturday a mother’s day tea party was held at Ayscoughfee Hall School, run by South Holland Community Church.

Mums and their families had an enjoyable afternoon, with all money raised going to the charity Home-Start South Holland.

Daffodils were donated by Flowers and Things and mums all took home a goody bag with items donated by Lush, Hills and Helen Redman (Avon).
