VISITORS to a Fenland field were treated to a display of vintage farming in the countryside.
The annual Farming of Yesteryear event took place on Thurlby Fen and as usual, tractor owners were encouraged to take their vehicles to the field and show off their ploughing skills.
There were also displays of vintage machinery and bygones, old combine harvesters and corn threshing.
Plenty of families went along to see the show of farming through the ages.
Organiser Andy Wyer said: “It went very well, we had quite a busy day and the sun shone.
“A lot of people took an interest and it was nice to see families there with children.
“The youngsters get to sit on the tractors which they don’t often get the chance to do.”
Visitors donated a total of £970 on the day to the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.
