A BRAZEN heroin addict took just three minutes to walk into a Spalding supermarket, pick up a flatscreen television and walk out without paying.
Amanda Latham (23) took the £169.99 22ins set from a shelf at Sainsbury’s.
At Spalding Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, prosecutor Edward Johnson said she told police during interview she needed money to buy heroin and the item had been sold to a man for £60.
Latham pleaded guilty to the February 20 theft and to failing to attend the court as soon as was reasonably practicable after failing to turn up to an earlier hearing.
Rachel Stevens, defending, said: “It was a crime to feed her habit.”
Latham, of Spilsby Road, Boston, was granted conditional bail to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court tomorrow for sentencing. The case was adjourned to allow for a report to be made by the Probation Service.
